Gary Wayne Kellogg

Gary Wayne Kellogg, age 73 of Bracey, died Saturday, February 4. 

Gary was born in Hornell, NY and was the son of the late Wayne Earl and Betty Jean Kellogg. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Kellogg of the home; his son, Kristopher Marc Kellogg of Haymarket, VA and his grandchildren, Hailey and Morgan Kellogg. Also surviving are his sisters Cindy Neville of Pawley’s Island, SC and Lucille George of Hornell NY, along with his faithful companion, “Ranger”. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Leslie Kellogg.

Gary grew up in Almond, NY and graduated from Alfred Almond Central School. He served in the US Army, 1st Infantry Division, Vietnam 1968-1969, with F Company 52nd Infantry LRRP, later I Company 75th Ranger Regiment. 

He was a member of the American Legion Post 76 for more than 46 years, the South Hill Moose Lodge, and enjoyed sharing time with his Vietnam buddies. 

When it was NASCAR racing time, Gary would often be found with friends sharing a cold one and pulling for his favorite driver. He also enjoyed a good round of golf and living at the lake where fishing was readily available.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11am, Saturday, February 18 at Farrar Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to join them for the conclusion of the service at their residence.
