Bruce Johnson

Bruce Eric Johnson, 79, of Henrico, NC passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 12. He was born on January 6, 1943, to Mr. Earl Johnson and Mrs. Violet Mercer Johnson.

Bruce was a 30-year Navy Veteran, beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was lovingly known as "The Plant Guy" around Lake Gaston for his years of volunteer service.

He is survived by his loving wife Lavetta A Johnson; his daughter Robyn Johnson (Eric Purcell) of Sonoma CA; his son Ty Johnson (Angela Johnson) of Midlothian VA; two grandsons Chase & Collin Johnson and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Duke Cancer Center in Durham NC.

Funeral arrangements had not been made at this time.
