Back in 2018 when I was working with Christina Wells, the former president of the Lake Gaston Regional Chamber of Commerce, on a display about the history of Lake Gaston, she showed me some old postcards that had been sold in the early years of Lake Gaston. I thought they were really neat so I’m sharing them with you.

Since the Lake Gaston Dam was dedicated in June 1963, I’m guessing these are at least 50 years old. Based on what the people are wearing and the way to boats look, they were possibly produced in the early 1970s.

I’m willing to bet there are people living on Lake Gaston today that remember these postcards or at least remember Lake Gaston in the good ol’ days. How ‘bout you?
