Frank Justis Kidd, 77, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Monday, March 4, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Frank was born Oct. 24, 1941, in Littleton, N.C., to the late Walter and Lula (Salmon) Kidd. On March 17, 1974, in Farmville, Va., he married Ellen Edwards.

Frank was an active member of Quest Community Church in West Liberty. He served for over five years in the Army National Guard. Frank graduated in 1960 from Littleton High School in Littleton, N.C.

He retired from a lifelong career in sales management, then became a security guard for Genric Security Services for 15 years. He was an avid football fan and loved spending time with his family and dog Sophie.

Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

He is survived by his wife, Ellen Edwards Kidd; children, Shelley (Tom) Kirkpatrick and Phillip (Audrey) Kidd; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Anthony, Elijah, Gabriel, Kaelyn Kahlil and Brooklyn Phenes; sister Agnes (Bill) Loyall; and sister-in-law, Margaret Kidd.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Allen Kidd.

A time of gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to noon at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. A private family committal service will take place at a later date.
