Warren and Northampton County Sheriff’s offices are keeping a close eye on the Lake Gaston region while they search for leads in several possible break-ins, according to Lt. John Branche with Warren County.

Branche said around 3:30 a.m. Sunday deputies were called to an alarm in the Wildwood Pointe Subdivision. Upon arriving they found an unoccupied home with the door kicked in. Further investigation revealed there were other homes close by that were also entered. He said it appeared that electronics had been taken.

“We’re not sure if the homeowners had taken them but probably they were stolen in the process,” he said.

Branch said similar incidents occurred in Northampton’s lake region over the same timeframe. He said the two departments are working together following up leads.
